Today was one of those days that makes you feel happy.
Just when I thought that all my work in my calling was going down the drain, my counselors visited loads of people this week, hometeaching was up by 3%, and the Bishop called the Elders' Quorum Presidency, "the kingpin of the ward."
To top it off I went to Stake Priesthood meeting and was accompanied by two prospective Elders (one that I hometeach) and one of their sons (prospective deacon).
Several times in the meeting they talked about the Priesthood (obviously) and the sonless man with me kept saying stuff like, "Soon, I'll be an Elder!"
As the stake presidency talked about fathers and sons, I looked over to the father and son who were with me. The dad had his arm around his son. The son had his head resting on his dad's chest. They were both looking down at some scriptures trying to find everyone that was quoted.
Bryce Larson's Grandpa called temple sealings the payday for Parents. I might not be around to see these men ordained (my payday) but today I got a big bonus!
