New Handbooks and Church Policies

I hope everyone is as excited about these changes as I am! Of course they make sense, and we ask ourselves why we were doing it differently before. Of course the church auxiliaries are here to support the family, so more emphasis should be on families. Of course the concerns of each ward should be addressed by the ward council. So sensible. I firmly believe in following the Handbook as strictly as possible. For one thing, it makes organizing a ward easier. For another thing, we will be blessed for obedience. And most importantly, why do our own thing when the whole system has been revealed to our prophets and apostles and general church leaders?

Additional:

1. You can view Handbook 2 in its entirety at

2. The newlds.org's new Serving in the Church section has also been updated to reflect the new policies. Go check it out!

I did not attend the meeting, but I have always been in favor of following the handbook.

thanks for posting this! I didn't have to go to the meeting and don't have my handbook yet, so I was hoping it would be online!

Sarah, how could you be getting a handbook but not have to go to the meeting?

Sarah serves in the Primary as secretary and maybe their ward or stake didn't ask her to go...but she does need a handbook...silly Ben!

I just ask because all handbook holders were supposed to go to the meeting. I was just thinking it was weird that she wasn't invited. Not saying it's Sarah's fault or anything.
