Peach Cobbler Recipe

1. You CAN use other fruit, but peach is the best.You can use canned fruit or fresh fruit. It you use fresh fruit, wash and cut up the fruit, and then mix it with 2 c. sugar.
2. Preheat the oven to 375. Put 1 c. butter in your baking dish (use 9 x 13) and put it in the oven to melt. Take it out when it is melted.
3. Mix together:
* 2 c. flour
* 1 & 1/2 c. sugar
* 4 t. baking powder
* 2 t. baking soda
* 1/2 t. salt
* 1/2 t. cinnamon
* 1 & 1/2 c. milk
4. The butter is melted in the bottom of the dish. Pour the batter over the butter. Pour the fruit over the batter. It starts upside down, but it comes out right side up.
5. This recipe often overflows the baking dish and catches on fire in the bottom of the oven. To prevent this catastrophe, put the baking dish on a large cookie sheet in the oven. The cookie sheet will catch any spills.
6. Bake at 375 for 1 hour, or until the top is golden brown.
