I'm loving my camera

These aren't the best pictures in the world, but I had fun taking them. I took my GPS outside with me. When I came inside, I was able to sync the location with the photos. I think that you can click on any of the pictures and get some of this information. Anyway, I'm posting these more for me that for anyone else.

Cross Country Skiing

I went cross country skiing today with the youth. It started out as a young men's activity, but many of them had conflicts. I invited a soon to be married couple from the ward as well as a Beehive whose brother was going and who also happens to be the Bishop's daughter. We had a blast! I got to use my camera and take some pictures. I found that landscape pics aren't half as fun as people ones. Here are a few of my favorite non-people photos.

A budding photographer?

Some of our tax return went toward purchasing the cheapest DSLR I could find. I finally got my lens today and went and took some pictures. I thought I would share them with you.

SnowBall Flakes

We've been having some weird weather lately . . . . weird for Utah that is. It rained all day yesterday. A lot of the snow melted. This morning the rain turned to snow. The ground looked like someone spilled a giant half-melted transparent slurpee all over the place. On the way home from our early Sunday Meetings, the snowflakes got so huge. It looked like light fluffy cottonballs the size of baseballs coming down. I wanted to catch one and take a picture of it, but the snowballs were to my hands as cotton candy is to my mouth . . . they melted instantly! I then attempted to take some pictures of the falling snow, but could barely capture the enormity of these falling slushballs. The following picture was the best one. For the purposed of quick and easy identification, the SnowBall Flakes have been circled.

Winter Wonderland

It's snowing like crazy here . . . . I love it! You know how old folks retire to warm places, I think I want to retire to Alaska!
